Obama is in and gun sales are up. They are soaring in fact. Gun shops are reporting increased sales of 2000% and more in some areas of the US. People are buying guns and ammo like it’s going out of style… or maybe it’s more like “it might be banned or taxed to oblivion”.
Will Obama try to ban guns? Probably not. He started off as the most liberal candidate ever but he’s evened out on a lot of his stances to get votes. If he does too much to mess around with the 2nd amendment then he’ll have a tough time getting re-elected. Does that mean he won’t try to renew things such as the expired assault weapons ban? Who knows. There are a lot of pro gun advocates who might not be that concerned if their neighbor wasn’t allowed to own a fully automatic M4 machine gun. But then again there are a lot of people who considered the ban to be unconstitutional in the first place. Either way, Obama’s record isn’t exactly pro gun by any means. (more…)
